I unofficially announced my intention to participate in March but I just realized I never officially signed up. I also have not posted my possible reads so I'll make this my official sign up post.
From the 24-hour Read-a-thon blog:
"What is Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-thon? For 24 hours, we read books, post to our blogs about our reading, and visit other readers’ blogs. We also participate in mini-challenges throughout the day. It happens twice a year, in April and in October."
I'll be participating as much as possible but I do have a birthday party to attend Saturday 11-2. But I hope to read 12 hours AT LEAST.
Possible Reads:
Tell Me A Story 3: Woman of Wonder by Amy Friedman (Audio CD) - can be listened to while playing Wii fit for some exercise
You Can't Afford to Break Up by Stacey Nelkin - nice and thin (67 pages)
The Psychiatrist who cured the Scientologist by Aaron David Gottfried - also thin (170 pages)
Nibbling on Einstein's Brain by Diane Swanson - light reading, children's nonfiction (150 pages)
Nasty, Brutish and Short by Pat Senson - ARC out April 17 (274 pages)
Animal Snoops by Peter Christie - more light reading, children's nonfiction (68 pages)
The S.T.A.R. Powered Twins by Dorothy A. Lecours - basically a large picture book but big enough to count it as reading pages (88 page, lots of text)
At Home with Laurie Ann by Laurie Ann McMillin Ray - Lots of photos, should make for lighter reading.
WOW: A Handbook for Living by Zen Ohashi and Zono Kurazono - 155 pages but not much text.
In Ectasy by Kate McCaffrey - YA novel by Annick Press (258)
